NASC is a collaborative fourth year project sponsored by DCC and Waterways Ireland to reimagine Dublin’s Docklands as an integral part of the city centre.
This elevated industrial mega-structure is located in a derelict peninsula of Dublin city. This structure creates a sheltered public realm along its base that acts as a threshold between two neighbouring housing schemes.
The upper floors of this mega structure combines both housing, industry and energy creating an imaginative self-sufficient environment. This project ignites Irish industrial heritage by merging the working environment with the public realm.
This creates a self-sustaining machine that sits upon the
landscape, an uplifted neighbourhood.
